How it Began
About Us
In Favor of the Planet, LLC was created in 2026 by Keionna L. Spalding when she realized what she could offer to her community as sustainability professional. With sustainability still pioneering as a field of major, there was a profound lack of credibly consistent, sustainability resources offering guidance and training for both business and residential operations and so she wanted to bring forth.
IFOTP serves to do this, but to also foster sustainability education with fun, focused on behavior changes that build long-lasting habits that fit both everyday lifestyle and business operations. A science-based sustainability learning and training resource that facilitates partnership and solidarity through the entire journey.

Meet K. L.
K. L. Spalding
K. L. Spalding is a woman in STEM and the founder of In Favor of the Planet. A Louisville native and AmeriCorps Alumna, she is a recognized student expert and public speaker through her initiative, The Bigger Picture Perspective. K. L. has shared her environmental insights across podcasts, magazines, and conferences. She has claimed academic and community executive board positions such as college science club president, project coordinator of the PTK honors society. Dedicated to her community, she actively supports local environmental and humanitarian causes through expert volunteering.
This mission began as K. L. Spalding’s personal pledge to drive meaningful environmental change.

Early Career Path
Before founding IFP, Keionna built strong community ties through active volunteering. Whether planting trees, lobbying for grassroots causes, or joining local cleanup efforts, her hands-on participation established a reputation that continues to fuel her mission today. Her relentless optimism, positivity and industry insight touched the hearts and minds of many, and those same values live at the heart of In Favor of the Planet, LLC.

IFP, LLC
Our vision for In Favor of the Planet, LLC is to establish a facility that chases change and innovation. We embody in favor of the planet living by promoting habitual change, giving local employers and homeowners a credible and consistent sustainability consulting resource to learn from.
Our mission aims to respond to global sustainability issues and climate problems related to our local community. Through the support of our community by input and local endorsement, we have established a base in Louisville, KY. We hope to give our sustainability stamp of completion to every home and business in Jefferson and the surrounding counties.
